# Script Evolution vs Wordsmite

The clearest difference is update cadence: Wordsmite at every 4 days against Script Evolution's monthly. Wordsmite also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Script Evolution sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Wordsmite sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Script Evolution ships an update monthly, Wordsmite every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
