# 3D Pool Madness vs Flick Pool Star

3D Pool Madness and Flick Pool Star both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of 3D Pool Madness's written reviews are positive against 23% of Flick Pool Star's. Flick Pool Star's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 20 months) and ratings volume (16K vs 240). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3D Pool Madness sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flick Pool Star sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flick Pool Star holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flick Pool Star has 16K ratings behind it against 240, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of 3D Pool Madness's written reviews are positive against 23% of Flick Pool Star's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

3D Pool Madness ships an update every 20 months, Flick Pool Star every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
