# MasterPOS vs Workiz Field Service Software

The clearest difference is rating: Workiz Field Service Software at 4.6 against MasterPOS's 2.2. Workiz Field Service Software also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (2.2K vs 12). MasterPOS's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (8.2 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Workiz Field Service Software holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Workiz Field Service Software has 2.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of MasterPOS's written reviews are positive against 32% of Workiz Field Service Software's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MasterPOS ships an update every 6 months, Workiz Field Service Software weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
