# Brushstroke vs PaintMee 2

The clearest difference is price: Brushstroke at Free against PaintMee 2's $5.99. Brushstroke also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 123) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Brushstroke is free to download; PaintMee 2 costs $5.99 up front. Brushstroke sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PaintMee 2 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Brushstroke against 4.7 for PaintMee 2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brushstroke has 14K ratings behind it against 123, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Brushstroke's written reviews are positive against 79% of PaintMee 2's.

Brushstroke ships an update monthly, PaintMee 2 every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
