# 大象 vs SChat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 大象 at 77% against SChat's 17%. 大象 also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 2). SChat's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 2.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 大象 has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of 大象's written reviews are positive against 17% of SChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

大象 ships an update every 3 weeks, SChat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
