# PhotoFrame Simple vs Project Life

The clearest difference is ads: Project Life at none against PhotoFrame Simple's shown. Project Life also leads on review sentiment (72% vs 56%). PhotoFrame Simple's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoFrame Simple sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Project Life sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoFrame Simple holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 442 and 496 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of PhotoFrame Simple's written reviews are positive against 72% of Project Life's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PhotoFrame Simple ships an update every 5 days, Project Life every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
