# Pollo Tropical vs Mandao

The clearest difference is rating: Pollo Tropical at 4.8 against Mandao's 3.5. Pollo Tropical also leads on ratings volume (43K vs 119) and device support (3 vs 1). Mandao's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pollo Tropical holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pollo Tropical has 43K ratings behind it against 119, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Pollo Tropical's written reviews are positive against 40% of Mandao's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
