# Pollo Tropical vs Crepes Cafe

The clearest difference is monetization model: Crepes Cafe at free against Pollo Tropical's free with in-app purchases. Pollo Tropical's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Crepes Cafe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pollo Tropical has 43K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pollo Tropical ships an update every 6 weeks, Crepes Cafe every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
