# Pollo Tropical vs Subs on the Run

The clearest difference is ads: Subs on the Run at none against Pollo Tropical's shown. Subs on the Run also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Pollo Tropical's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Subs on the Run holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pollo Tropical has 43K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pollo Tropical ships an update every 6 weeks, Subs on the Run every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
