# Transsera for Coursera vs upGrad

The clearest difference is update cadence: upGrad at every 2 weeks against Transsera for Coursera's every 3 months. upGrad also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (299 vs 44). Transsera for Coursera's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 49%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transsera for Coursera sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and upGrad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

upGrad holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: upGrad has 299 ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Transsera for Coursera's written reviews are positive against 49% of upGrad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Transsera for Coursera ships an update every 3 months, upGrad every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
