# ST TV vs OttPlayertv

The clearest difference is rating: OttPlayertv at 4.5 against ST TV's 2.5. OttPlayertv also leads on ratings volume (9.3K vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OttPlayertv holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OttPlayertv has 9.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ST TV's written reviews are positive against 48% of OttPlayertv's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ST TV ships an update every 5 weeks, OttPlayertv fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
