# ST TV vs ibo Pro Player

The clearest difference is rating: ibo Pro Player at 4.8 against ST TV's 2.5. ibo Pro Player also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). ST TV's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ibo Pro Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ST TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

ibo Pro Player holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ibo Pro Player has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ST TV's written reviews are positive against 48% of ibo Pro Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ST TV ships an update every 5 weeks, ibo Pro Player every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
