# Medium vs Testimony Share

Medium and Testimony Share both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Testimony Share's written reviews are positive against 63% of Medium's. Testimony Share also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Medium's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (157K vs 62). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Medium sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Testimony Share asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Medium against 4.9 for Testimony Share. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medium has 157K ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Medium's written reviews are positive against 100% of Testimony Share's.

Medium ships an update weekly, Testimony Share every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
