# Medium vs DailyTrust ePaper

The clearest difference is rating: Medium at 4.8 against DailyTrust ePaper's 4.2. Medium also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 16 months). DailyTrust ePaper's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and in-app purchases (none vs 6). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Medium sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. DailyTrust ePaper asks for nothing beyond the download.

Medium holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medium has 157K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Medium's written reviews are positive against 100% of DailyTrust ePaper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Medium ships an update weekly, DailyTrust ePaper every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
