# Medium vs Quillki

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Quillki at none against Medium's 6. Quillki also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Medium's advantage is ratings volume (157K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Medium sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Quillki asks for nothing beyond the download.

Quillki holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medium has 157K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Medium ships an update weekly, Quillki every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
