# Medium vs NutsNews

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NutsNews at none against Medium's 6. Medium's advantage is ratings volume (157K vs 2) and chart position (#14 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Medium sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. NutsNews asks for nothing beyond the download.

NutsNews holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medium has 157K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
