# Late Model vs Bring a Trailer Auctions

The clearest difference is rating: Bring a Trailer Auctions at 4.9 against Late Model's 3.6. Bring a Trailer Auctions also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Late Model's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 35%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bring a Trailer Auctions holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bring a Trailer Auctions has 7.7K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Late Model's written reviews are positive against 35% of Bring a Trailer Auctions's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
