# youDance vs SwingPoints

The clearest difference is rating: SwingPoints at 4.4 against youDance's 3.7. SwingPoints also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). youDance's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 63%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. youDance sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and SwingPoints sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SwingPoints holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of youDance's written reviews are positive against 63% of SwingPoints's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

youDance ships an update every 2 months, SwingPoints weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
