# True vs Spacechat

The clearest difference is rating: Spacechat at 5.0 against True's 4.2. Spacechat also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). True's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spacechat sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. True asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spacechat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: True has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

True ships an update every 3 weeks, Spacechat weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
