# Formula 1® vs Oceandex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Oceandex at none against Formula 1®'s 14. Oceandex also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). Formula 1®'s advantage is ratings volume (84K vs 21) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formula 1® sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Oceandex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Formula 1® holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formula 1® has 84K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Formula 1® ships an update fortnightly, Oceandex every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
