# Carpool Kids vs Mapvaders

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Carpool Kids at 70% against Mapvaders's 27%. Carpool Kids also leads on ratings volume (9.1K vs 4). Mapvaders's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Carpool Kids sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Mapvaders sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mapvaders holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Carpool Kids has 9.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Carpool Kids's written reviews are positive against 27% of Mapvaders's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Carpool Kids ships an update monthly, Mapvaders every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
