# VideoPad vs PicMaker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VideoPad at 39% against PicMaker's 0%. VideoPad also leads on ratings volume (441 vs 31). PicMaker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. PicMaker asks for nothing beyond the download.

PicMaker holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VideoPad has 441 ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of VideoPad's written reviews are positive against 0% of PicMaker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
