# VideoPad vs Font Kitty

The clearest difference is rating: VideoPad at 4.0 against Font Kitty's 2.5. VideoPad also leads on ratings volume (441 vs 6). Font Kitty's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Font Kitty sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VideoPad holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VideoPad has 441 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 39% and 40% positive.

VideoPad ships an update every 5 months, Font Kitty every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
