# KMPlayer vs Liveland

KMPlayer and Liveland both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Liveland's written reviews are positive against 66% of KMPlayer's. Liveland also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). KMPlayer's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for KMPlayer against 4.3 for Liveland. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KMPlayer has 3.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
