# Bird Mini Golf vs Lava AR

The clearest difference is rating: Bird Mini Golf at 5.0 against Lava AR's 1.6. Lava AR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bird Mini Golf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Bird Mini Golf's written reviews are positive against 25% of Lava AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bird Mini Golf ships an update every 17 months, Lava AR every 27 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
