# TheBrain vs Constella

TheBrain and Constella both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Constella's written reviews are positive against 44% of TheBrain's. TheBrain's advantage is ratings volume (172 vs 10). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheBrain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and Constella sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for TheBrain against 4.8 for Constella. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TheBrain has 172 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of TheBrain's written reviews are positive against 88% of Constella's.

TheBrain ships an update fortnightly, Constella every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
