# The Elements Flashcards vs Elementium

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Elements Flashcards at none against Elementium's 9. The Elements Flashcards also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.1). Elementium's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (576 vs 11). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elementium sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. The Elements Flashcards asks for nothing beyond the download.

Elementium holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elementium has 576 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of The Elements Flashcards's written reviews are positive against 75% of Elementium's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Elements Flashcards ships an update every 10 months, Elementium every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
