# Hex Isle Map vs CSIndex

The clearest difference is update cadence: CSIndex at every 6 months against Hex Isle Map's every 14 months. Hex Isle Map's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hex Isle Map sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CSIndex sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hex Isle Map ships an update every 14 months, CSIndex every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
