# Steps vs Step X

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Step X at none against Steps's 1. Step X also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Step X asks for nothing beyond the download.
