# Steps vs ScrollBreak

The clearest difference is ads: ScrollBreak at none against Steps's shown. Steps's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ScrollBreak sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steps ships an update monthly, ScrollBreak every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
