# Phont vs Bakey

The clearest difference is rating: Bakey at 4.8 against Phont's 3.2. Bakey also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 9 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phont sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Bakey sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bakey holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bakey has 278 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Phont's written reviews are positive against 80% of Bakey's.

Phont ships an update every 9 months, Bakey every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
