# Phont vs VPN ERO

The clearest difference is rating: VPN ERO at 4.5 against Phont's 3.2. VPN ERO also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months). Phont's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phont sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and VPN ERO sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN ERO holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN ERO has 2.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Phont ships an update every 9 months, VPN ERO monthly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
