# Phont vs Fonts

The clearest difference is rating: Fonts at 4.5 against Phont's 3.2. Fonts also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 6). Phont's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phont sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Fonts sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fonts holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fonts has 1.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of Phont's written reviews are positive against 71% of Fonts's.

Phont ships an update every 9 months, Fonts every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
