# FNP ePaper vs JOURNAL

The clearest difference is update cadence: JOURNAL at every 3 weeks against FNP ePaper's every 6 months. JOURNAL also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FNP ePaper sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and JOURNAL sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FNP ePaper ships an update every 6 months, JOURNAL every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
