# Clumsy Chameleon! vs Gecko Pet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Clumsy Chameleon! at every 3 months against Gecko Pet's every 32 months. Clumsy Chameleon! also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Gecko Pet's advantage is ratings volume (131 vs 2) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gecko Pet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gecko Pet has 131 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Clumsy Chameleon!'s written reviews are positive against 82% of Gecko Pet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Clumsy Chameleon! ships an update every 3 months, Gecko Pet every 32 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
