# Formula Racing Calendar vs Race Widgets

The clearest difference is update cadence: Race Widgets at every 9 days against Formula Racing Calendar's every 4 months. Formula Racing Calendar's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (53 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formula Racing Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Race Widgets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formula Racing Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formula Racing Calendar has 53 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Formula Racing Calendar's written reviews are positive against 50% of Race Widgets's.

Formula Racing Calendar ships an update every 4 months, Race Widgets every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
