# iDhammapada vs My FileManager

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iDhammapada at 100% against My FileManager's 61%. iDhammapada also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). My FileManager's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 15 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My FileManager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. iDhammapada asks for nothing beyond the download.

My FileManager holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My FileManager has 17K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iDhammapada's written reviews are positive against 61% of My FileManager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iDhammapada ships an update every 15 months, My FileManager fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
