# Prêt à Template vs Sigil Code

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sigil Code at 100% against Prêt à Template's 24%. Sigil Code also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.2). Prêt à Template's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 4) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prêt à Template sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $13.90 per month and Sigil Code sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sigil Code holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prêt à Template has 13K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of Prêt à Template's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sigil Code's.

Prêt à Template ships an update every 8 days, Sigil Code every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
