# Pingboard vs Nibol

Pingboard and Nibol both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 47% of Nibol's written reviews are positive against 28% of Pingboard's. Pingboard's advantage is ratings volume (174 vs 14) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Pingboard against 4.6 for Nibol. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pingboard has 174 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of Pingboard's written reviews are positive against 47% of Nibol's.

Pingboard ships an update every 4 weeks, Nibol every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
