# Stepz vs StepsApp Pedometer

The clearest difference is monetization model: StepsApp Pedometer at free with in-app purchases against Stepz's subscription. StepsApp Pedometer also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (93% vs 75%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepz sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and StepsApp Pedometer sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
