# Stepz vs MySteps

The clearest difference is monetization model: MySteps at free with in-app purchases against Stepz's subscription. Stepz's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepz sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and MySteps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MySteps holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33K and 45K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Stepz's written reviews are positive against 80% of MySteps's.

Stepz ships an update weekly, MySteps every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
