# Doodle Creatures™ vs Alchemy 1000

The clearest difference is price: Alchemy 1000 at Free against Doodle Creatures™'s $1.99. Alchemy 1000 also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 73). Doodle Creatures™'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months). On in-app purchases, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Alchemy 1000 is free to download; Doodle Creatures™ costs $1.99 up front. Doodle Creatures™ sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Alchemy 1000 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alchemy 1000 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alchemy 1000 has 7.7K ratings behind it against 73, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of Doodle Creatures™'s written reviews are positive against 55% of Alchemy 1000's.

Doodle Creatures™ ships an update every 3 months, Alchemy 1000 every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
