# Thermometer vs DuoWeatherHue

The clearest difference is price: DuoWeatherHue at Free against Thermometer's $2.99. DuoWeatherHue also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Thermometer's advantage is chart position (#70 vs unranked) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

DuoWeatherHue is free to download; Thermometer costs $2.99 up front. Thermometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DuoWeatherHue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DuoWeatherHue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermometer has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Thermometer ships an update every 6 months, DuoWeatherHue every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
