# AnimatedPics vs WallShader

The clearest difference is rating: WallShader at 5.0 against AnimatedPics's 3.9. WallShader also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 60 months). AnimatedPics's advantage is ratings volume (102 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AnimatedPics sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and WallShader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WallShader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AnimatedPics has 102 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AnimatedPics ships an update every 60 months, WallShader monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
