# Timestamp Camera Basic vs ProStamp

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ProStamp at 100% against Timestamp Camera Basic's 64%. ProStamp also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Timestamp Camera Basic's advantage is ratings volume (33K vs 3) and chart position (#122 vs unranked). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timestamp Camera Basic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ProStamp sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProStamp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timestamp Camera Basic has 33K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Timestamp Camera Basic's written reviews are positive against 100% of ProStamp's.

Timestamp Camera Basic ships an update every 3 weeks, ProStamp every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
