# Ascend Math vs Multiplication Tables!

The clearest difference is rating: Multiplication Tables! at 4.8 against Ascend Math's 4.2. Multiplication Tables! also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (5.8K vs 16). Ascend Math's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ascend Math sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Multiplication Tables! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Multiplication Tables! holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Multiplication Tables! has 5.8K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Ascend Math's written reviews are positive against 88% of Multiplication Tables!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ascend Math ships an update weekly, Multiplication Tables! every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
