# Ascend Math vs Math Facts

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ascend Math at weekly against Math Facts's every 9 months. Ascend Math also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Math Facts's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 24). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ascend Math sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Math Facts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Ascend Math against 4.4 for Math Facts. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Facts has 17K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Ascend Math's written reviews are positive against 79% of Math Facts's.

Ascend Math ships an update weekly, Math Facts every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
