# Rules! vs Shufflepong

The clearest difference is rating: Rules! at 4.2 against Shufflepong's 3.0. Rules! also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 37 months) and ratings volume (67 vs 2). Shufflepong's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and price ($1.99 vs $2.99). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Rules! costs $2.99 and Shufflepong $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rules! holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rules! has 67 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Rules!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Shufflepong's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rules! ships an update monthly, Shufflepong every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
