# AdaptiBar vs NOSSCR

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NOSSCR at none against AdaptiBar's 10. NOSSCR also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). AdaptiBar's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 5). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AdaptiBar sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. NOSSCR asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for AdaptiBar against 5.0 for NOSSCR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AdaptiBar has 2.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AdaptiBar ships an update every 2 months, NOSSCR every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
