# Solitaire HD ∙ vs Backgammon Clubs

The clearest difference is rating: Backgammon Clubs at 4.7 against Solitaire HD ∙'s 4.1. Backgammon Clubs also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 87). Solitaire HD ∙'s advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 19%) and in-app purchases (none vs 18). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Clubs sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Solitaire HD ∙ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Backgammon Clubs holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Clubs has 4.3K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Solitaire HD ∙'s written reviews are positive against 19% of Backgammon Clubs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solitaire HD ∙ ships an update every 19 months, Backgammon Clubs every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
